Rough news for Great Britain’s Olympic team: Star snowboarder Katie Ormerod broke her left wrist during a training run on Wednesday in Pyeongchang.

However, she will continue to train and intends on competing on Sunday.

She tweeted that she fell off a rail at Phoenix Park, leading to the injury. A Team GB spokeswoman told BBC Sport that it’s a “minor fracture.”

Ormerod, who is 20 years old, won the World Cup gold medal in big air last year, and was slopestyle bronze medalist at the X-Games. She has qualified to compete in both events at these Games, her first.

She is considered Great Britain’s best chance for a medal in Pyeongchang.
