Brighton's Milly Meltdown Season Extension Returns To Offer Skiing In May

Good news, Salt Lake City, Utah, skiers: Brighton Resort's Milly Meltdown, which offers skiing in May, is back for another season.

Brighton hasn't provided details about this season's Milly Meltdown yet, including which lift it'll feature.

The event might look a little different from last season's offering, which saw springy laps off the Milly Express from May 5th to May 29th.

Brighton has seen 448 inches of snow this season so far. This time last year, it was cruising past the 700-inch mark. With less snow available, a different set of terrain options could be in the cards.

Either way, the event was a crowd favorite last ski season, and I don't expect that to change, even if there are some operational shifts.

A big part of the draw was the terrain park, which pulled a crowd of talented freestylers to Brighton's slopes during the 2023 Meltdown.

Here's a look at some of the action that went down via a video from filmmaker Ian Avery-Leaf.

Plus, the forecast is shaping up nicely for Brighton in the coming days, with a storm likely headed to Utah later this month, potentially giving the upcoming Milly Meltdown a boost. Stay tuned.
