Brielle Biermann Just Gave Intermittent Fasting All The Credit For This Red Bikini Photo

From Women's Health

  • Bravo star Brielle Biermann posted a new bikini photo to Instagram over the weekend.

  • In the photo, she's showing off her toned body in a red swimsuit.

  • Brielle attributed her toned body to an intermittent fasting diet in the comments section of the post.

Brielle Biermann, star of the Bravo show Don't Be Tardy (and daughter of Kim Zolciak-Biermann) is still soaking up the summer. She just posted a swimsuit pic to her Instagram this weekend, and she's looking super fit.

"Everyday above ground is a blessing💕," she captioned the photo.

And when asked by one of her followers what she's been doing to achieve her current shape, she filled them in.

The follower asked, "You look so good omg! What are you doing differently??" And Brielle wrote back, "Intermittent fasting lol."

Brielle isn't the first celeb to talk about their love of intermittent fasting. Vanessa Hudgens is a fan, and so are Halle Berry and Jenna Jameson.

While the specifics of Brielle's intermittent fasting plan aren't clear, the 16:8 diet is becoming an increasingly popular form of fasting. To follow the plan, you simply eat normally during an eight-hour window every day, and follow that with 16 hours of fasting. Many people choose to eat normally from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., for example, while fasting overnight.

In case you were wondering, science says intermittent fasting can indeed help you lose weight (a smaller eating window means less calories consumed).

Of course, there are downsides to intermittent fasting as well. The diet can be hard to stick with, and could even lead to disordered eating patterns.

Still, while more research is needed, many dietitians agree that there's no harm in curbing late-night snacking with a 16:8 fasting plan.
