A Brief History of First Kids’ Fashion
On Friday in Washington, D.C., Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. And while Trump’s own sartorial savvy has been questioned by some, let’s be honest: Barring an outrageous faux pas (or, you know, a Scotch-taped tie), there’s just not a whole lot to say about a guy in a suit. It’s one of the reasons we’d much rather talk about first lady style, or first kids’ style.
While presidents and first ladies are constricted in their style choices by custom and ethics, first kids, especially in recent decades, have a relative amount of freedom to, well, be kids.
