The result is based on the Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi devised by mathematicians in Ancient Greece.

Regé-Jean Page, who played Simon Basset in Season 1 of Bridgerton, has been named the most handsome man in the world.

A facial cosmetic surgeon named Dr. Julian De Silva revealed the results according to the "Golden Ratio" in mathematics, Phi, first observed by the Pythagoreans in Ancient Greece and applied to physical beauty.

Page was the evident winner, with his face calculated as 93.65% accurate to the Golden Ratio. In second place was Chris Hemsworth, with 93.53%, while Michael B. Jordan took third with 93.46%.

De Silva said of Page, as reported by Daily Mail, "Regé won because of his classically beautiful face and gorgeous brown eyes. He had easily the highest score for his eye spacing and the positioning of his eyes also scored highly."

He went on, "His perfectly shaped lips also scored highly and the only mark he got that was slightly lower was for his nose width and length."

The result is based on computerized mapping measuring physical perfection based on the Golden Ratio, looking at all of the star's features.

De Silva said, "These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients' surgery."

"First, the length and width of the face are measured. Once this is done, the length is divided by the width. The ideal result is considered the Golden Ratio which should equal 1.6. This means a beautiful person’s face is about 1 ½ times longer than it is wide," Ladner Facial Plastic Surgery revealed of the calculations.

Three more measurements are made: from the hairline to between the eyes, from between the eyes to the bottom of the nose, and from the nose to the bottom of the chin. The more equal all three are, the more perfect the face is, according to the ratio.

Based on De Silva's calculations, Harry Styles came in fourth place with 92.3%, English footballer Jude Bellingham in fifth with 92.22%, and Robert Pattinson in sixth with 92.15%.

The list continued with Chris Evans in seventh, George Clooney in eighth, Henry Golding in ninth, and Dwayne Johnson taking the last spot at 10.

Last year, De Silva named Amber Heard the most beautiful woman in the world based on the Golden Ratio.
