From Town & Country

Unlike in the United States, bridal attendants in British royal weddings tend to be kids, both relatives of the bride and groom, and the children of close friends. Today, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank had a number of young children with them as they celebrated their marriage.

Here's what we know about Eugenie's six bridesmaids:

Three-year-old Charlotte is reprising her role as bridesmaid in Eugenie and Jack's wedding today. At this point, Princess Charlotte is practically a professional bridesmaid. During Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding in May, one guest even heard the young royal instructing the other bridal attendants. "No you can’t go yet. We have to wait until we are asked," she reportedly said.

Mia Tindall is also servinge as a bridesmaid in the royal wedding. Tindall is a cousin of the bride: she is the daughter of Zara Tindall, who is Princess Anne's only daughter and the Queen's second oldest granddaughter. Mia recently became a big sister: in June 2018, the Tindall family welcomed Lena Elizabeth, who was named in honor of the Queen. This will be the first time we see little Mia as a bridesmaid.

Savannah Phillips

Savannah is another royal relative of Eugenie tapped to serve as one of her bridesmaids. Savannah is the daughter of Peter Phillips and is a granddaughter of Princess Anne. She is also the Queen's oldest great-grandchild.

Savannah is best known for being an adorable royal scene-stealer: at Trooping the Colour in June 2018, Savannah famously covered her cousin Prince George's mouth during the singing of "God Save the Queen." Relive that moment here:

Isla Phillips

Savannah's younger sister, Isla, was also asked to be a bridesmaid in Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding. Five-year-old Isla also appeared at Trooping the Colour in 2017 and 2018, but is more often seen playing with her sister and cousins:

Maud Windsor

Charlotte, Mia, Savannah, and Isla won't be the only royal relatives acting as bridesmaid at Eugenie's wedding. Maud Windsor, the granddaughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and the daughter of Lord Frederick Windsor, was also asked to be a bridal attendant for a very special reason: she is the goddaughter of Princess Eugenie. Maud doesn't usually attend public royal events, but she's roughly the same age as Prince George, and they both attend school together at Thomas's Battersea.

Theordora Rose Williams

The royal family also confirmed that Theodora Williams, the 6-year-old daughter of pop star Robbie Williams and Ayda Field, is bridesmaid for Eugenie and Jack's wedding. Earlier this summer, British tabloid the Express reported that Theodora would serve as a bridesmaid in the upcoming royal wedding, and the news was confirmed today. Williams and Eugenie are reportedly good friends.

"This is a great moment for Robbie," the source said. "He couldn't be more proud for his daughter." Buckingham Palace has yet to comment on the rumor.

Lady Louise Windsor

Lady Louise Windsor, a cousin of Princess Eugenie, was asked to be a special attendant at the Eugenie and Jack's wedding. While not technically a bridesmaid, Louise arrived with the wedding party on the big day. Louise already has royal wedding experience: she was a bridesmaid for Prince William and Duchess Kate's wedding in 2011. Louise is the oldest child of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who will also be in attendance on Friday.

Princess Beatrice

While the majority of her bridesmaids will be young children, Eugenie also has her Beatrice as her maid of honor. The sisters confirmed the news in an interview in the September issue of British Vogue. The pair are quite close, and it only makes sense that Eugenie would like Beatrice by her side on her wedding day. She certainly isn't the first royal to include a sibling in her bridal party. Kate Middleton's sister Pippa served as maid of honor at the 2011 royal wedding, and back in 1947, Princess Margaret was one of then-Princess Elizabeth's bridal attendants. Plus, sisterly bond aside, it's helpful to have an adult there to help wrangle all the small children down the aisle.
