As someone who is currently planning a wedding, let me level with you: That sh*t's expensive. All those stories news outlets write about cutting costs aren't fluff-they're gold. So when I see a bride waltzing down the aisle of my Instagram feed with a stick of cotton candy in her hands-rather than a $200 bouquet of flowers-I bow down.

Do you...do you understand what I mean?

See the pure joy on this bride's face, all because she's holding a giant swirl of pink, fluffy cotton candy in her hands?! (OK, sure, her smile might also be due to the fact that her soon-to-be-husband stands just beyond the frame of the photo, but who can really say.)

Faheema Chaudhury, the smiley bride in question and the lady behind accessories brand Unicorn Crafts, wrote to Delish, "I loooooove cotton candy and knew I had to make a cotton candy bouquet for my wedding." For what it's worth, Faheema's Instagram biography reads "Lover of sugar," so this checks out.

And as any good lover of sugar, Faheema carried that damn cotton candy all night long-even during the party.

Other brides are taking the trend and supersizing it, giving all of their bridesmaids cotton candy bouquets, too. And the pictures are, well-see for yourself. (But they're hilarious, and gorgeous, and so freaking whimsical. Those were the words you were looking for.)

This isn't the first time we've seen brides swap flowers for something edible. The year 2018 brought us pizza bouquets and ones made of donuts.

What's next? Lollipop bouquets? Ones made with pickles? Or with little alcohol nips. Honestly, the sky is the limit. But if reading this made you crave some delightfully fluffy sugar, you can buy your own cotton candy maker here.
