A brewery in North Carolina took to social media after their delivery van was stolen by three people on Monday morning, asking fans of their beer to keep an eye out. As an incentive, the Unknown Brewing Company offered a "keg party" to a successful informant. Lo and behold, the vehicle was found within 42 minutes.

"Please help us find it. Share with all of your friends. Whoever finds it, Brad will buy you a keg party!" a representative for the company, based in Charlotte, N.C., wrote on Monday at 11:57 a.m. "If you stole it and bring it back, you will also get a keg party (smile for the camera). Please DM us if you see it."

The Unknown Brewing Company later shared an update. "We found it! Thanks everyone ... New world record for finding a stolen van ... Over 15 people called in with tips and it was located in 42 minutes!"

Naturally, social media users were suspicious of the brewery's claim. "Clever PR stunt," one person commented. Another asked them to "post the police report."

"We're good at marketing but not that good. People have even asked us if we stole our own van!" the brewery wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday. "Yes, that would be hilarious but, we assure you that we couldn't make this s*** up."

The Unknown Brewing Company shared footage of three individuals stealing their van at 1 a.m. on Monday, and explained that police believe the suspects may have used the van to "commit 10+ car break-ins in the area, before they abandoned it."

"We wanted to thank all of you for helping us get our van back, by commenting, sharing and sending us tips via direct message,” they wrote. “This week we will brew Van Theft Auto, [and] when it releases, we will be selling it for 25 cents a pint (to cover taxes,). That's as close to a free keg party as we can do for you, Charlotte. Thank you so much for your help, Queen City, you guys are #supersleuths!"
