A brewery in Fargo, North Dakota is doing its part to help shelter dogs find their forever homes. Fargo Brewing Company partnered with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue to help six adorable “One-der” dogs get adopted.

“One-der” dogs are a group of “adoptable dogs who have special needs based on how they socialize with other dogs. Those needs differ from dog to dog, but ultimately, they do best in homes without other animals,” according to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue Facebook page.

On Monday, Fargo Brewing Company hosted an event to showcase these dogs and tug on the heartstrings of potential new parents. The brewery put six very special dogs on the cans of its Fargo Original Lager. According to its Facebook page, Nyx, Bizzy, Jensen, Hobie, Moby, Virginia were featured on the cans.

Along with picking up a special edition six-pack for $9, those who came to the event could meet the sweet pups that need adopting. The brewery's social media and marketing manager, Tawny Hewitt, told CNN that out of the 40 cases made with the dogs’ faces on them 25 were sold. She also noted that the remaining cans will be available to purchase throughout the week with partial proceeds benefitting the shelter.

“The goal of this release was to feature and highlight special ‘One-der Dogs’ with 4 Luv of Dog Rescue that are difficult to find homes for because, while they love people, these dogs have a hard time socializing with other dogs and therefore can’t come to foster events or meet-and-greets,” Fargo Brewing Company’s taproom manager Jessica Click tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

"We hope that having these dogs featured on the cans will help raise awareness and shine a spotlight on them where they might normally have been overlooked,” Click said.

4 Luv of Dog Rescue volunteer Jerad Ryan, who came up with the idea for the event, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that he “would have been happy with anyone who would have bought a six-pack of beer,” but the additional publicity and help the organization received was “pretty amazing and kind of inspiring.”

He also noted that one lucky pup, Jensen, was adopted prior to the event while the others still await their forever homes.
