*BREAKING*: HBO Just Revealed a ‘Game of Thrones' Teaser and Announced the Season 8 Release Month (It's So Soon, You Guys!)

Hold the door, because we have *major* Game of Thrones news. HBO just announced season eight will premiere in April 2019, which means we’re only five months away from the last chapter of GoT (say it ain’t Snow!).

The network had previously stated the final season would come out in the first half of 2019, so they’ve honored their word with an April premiere. (And we’re thanking the old gods and the new that it won’t be delayed til summer.)

Second, to announce the big news, HBO just revealed a special teaser trailer (above) called #FortheThrone Anthem. While it doesn’t contain any new footage from season eight, it does go over almost every pivotal moment of the show, including (but not limited to) Ned Starks death, Cersei’s walk of shame, Daenerys’s dragons and so much more.

The trailer ends with Jon Snow’s voice: “There’s only one war that matters…and it’s here.” BRB, hibernating ’til April.
