Fifth Circuit court denies NFLPA motion, Ezekiel Elliott remains suspended
There is another loss for Ezekiel Elliott in his legal fight against commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has denied the National Football League Players Association’s request to recall mandate, meaning the Dallas Cowboys running back remains suspended, for now.
The court said the NFLPA can request an en banc rehearing in the case.
There’s still one more chance to have the running back’s six-game punishment lifted, and it could come Tuesday. The case now moves to a court in New York, where the NFLPA is seeking a temporary injunction in an emergency hearing.
