Brawl breaks out as Sharks, Golden Knights renew rivalry
One of the wildest moments in recent hockey memory was the unbelievable series of events that occurred in Game 7 of the Western Conference quarter-finals between the Vegas Golden Knights and the San Jose Sharks last spring.
Here’s a refresher in case you’ve forgotten.
One of the better scheduling decisions made by the NHL in 2019-20 pinned the two clubs against each other twice to start the season.
And after a relatively quiet first matchup, the second contest proved to be a much more spirited affair.

With less than six minutes remaining in Friday’s game, Marcus Sorensen shoved Golden Knights blueliner Nicolas Hague from behind. Hague took exception, and then all of a sudden everybody was involved in the mixup.

Hague, William Karlsson, Deryk Engelland, Joe Thornton and Barclay Goodrow were all awarded 10-minute misconducts because of the incident.
While all of the debris laid on the ice, Golden Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury thought it would be a good idea to hand some out to the fans - including this stick, which belonged to a Sharks player.
