ICYMI: Moesha (along with several other classic Black-led shows) was recently added to Netflix and it's making us nostalgic for the nineties. Another thing it made me realize? Brandy has not aged. The actress and singer is now 41 and yet she seemingly has not gained a wrinkle since the show first debuted in 1996 when she was 17(!!!). I recently looked up her age when I saw her in an interview talking about her teenage daughter—yes, she has a teenage daughter—and couldn't believe she could possibly be old enough, simply because of her pristine complexion.

Now it's time to ask the tough questions: What magic youth potion is she using? It's pretty much a given that Brandy must have some great genes (peep the IG photo of her and her mom below), but she does have some skincare secrets and makeup techniques that she shared in the past. Keep scrolling for the scoop—including her positive outlook on aging as a whole.

She sticks with one brand for all of her skincare.

Brandy told Allure in 2016 that she had started using the Diamond Anti-aging line from Natura Bisse about four years prior and had been using it since. "Usually I never really believe in that kind of stuff, but these products are my favorite stuff ever," the actress said. "I use the Diamond White Rich Luxury Cleanse to clean my face, I use the Diamond White Glowing Mask, I use the Diamond Extreme Eye cream for the bags, and I use the Diamond Gel Cream all over my face." Though she does admit that it's not the most wallet-friendly, she says she doesn't mind the splurge because it works. "You have to keep your skin looking nice."

She believes blending is the key to flawless makeup.

In the same article Brandy shared that she believes "patience is definitely the main thing with makeup, because you have to take the time to blend." For her that means she's never caught without her Beautyblender.

She's pro contouring.

"Contouring is also very important for me, because I don't have a bridge on my nose, and there's a lot of space in between my eyes, so I have to do different things with the contour that pulls it all together," Brandy told Allure. "I love contour, but not where it looks like I contoured. I've learned how to do it where it's very natural." Her two keys for contouring success: M.A.C. Mineralize Skin Finish Natural Powder in Deep Dark—which she says, is "perfect for a caramel girl."—as well as the Nars Mizubake Kabuki Brush that she told Allure, "can do anything."

She embraces aging.

"It's a beautiful thing to grow and to see your face changing, and your body changing, and your mind changing," says Brandy. "But staying fresh and being your best self, that's what it's all about. It's about taking care of your health and being in the shape of your life, and eating the right way."
