This New Luxury Cruise Line Just Announced Alaska Sailings to See Whales, Glaciers, and Gorgeous Port Cities

If you've never taken an Alaskan cruise before, 2024 might just be the year to do it. Soon-to-launch luxury cruise line Explora Journeys just announced a series of Alaska sailings in 2024, and they're pretty spectacular.
From May through August 2024, Explora Journeys will offer three Alaska itineraries aboard the Explora I: Remote Wrangell and Spectacular Sitka, Sailing the Whale's Highway, and Journey of the Glaciers. Each of the three itineraries will depart from Vancouver for a 10- or 11-night trip. All three sail Alaska's scenic Inside Passage and make stops in Juneau, Sitka, and Victoria, British Columbia. Other Alaska ports of call the trips visit include Ketchikan, Misty Fjords National Monument, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier, and Wrangell.
Explora Journeys will also bring a taste of Alaska on board, utilizing Alaskan seafood, meat, and produce in its restaurants.

"These journeys will also offer guests the opportunity to unlock our unique philosophy, the Ocean State of Mind, an elevated state of mind inspired by the sea, as elusive as it is sought after."
Explora Journeys is a luxury lifestyle brand from European shipping giant MSC Group, which also owns and operates MSC Cruises. In fact, the concept for Explora Journeys came from MSC Cruises' Yacht Club, a ship-within-a-ship concept that offers guests exclusive luxury experiences and spaces within its massive vessels. Explora Journeys takes the exclusivity to the next level.

The first two of four ships in Explora Journeys' fleet are currently under construction, with the inaugural vessel due to launch next year. Each of the similarly designed sister ships will have 461 guest accommodations with private terraces, 10 dining options, 10 bars and lounges, four pools, and an indoor-outdoor spa facility, all spread across 14 decks.
