The Grinch won't be stealing anyone's Christmas this year thanks to TyLon Pittman.

The adorable 5-year-old from Byram, Mississippi, was watching the classic children's movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, at home on his smartphone when he took it upon himself to call the police to report the crime.

TyLon's older brother, TeDera Dwayne Graves II, tells GoodHousekeeping.com that at first their mom dismissed the boy's confession that he called the cops.

"My mom said, 'Boy, whatever. You better not have.' We just didn't pay him any attention," Graves says. Well, they should have.

In the 911 call, obtained by ABC News, Tylon can be heard saying, "I just want to tell you something. Watch for that little Grinch. Because the Grinch is gonna steal Christmas, okay?"

"About an hour and a half [after TyLon told us], the police came knocking on the door," Graves says. "I couldn't believe it."

Shocked that the police actually showed up, Graves says he grabbed his phone to record the hilarious incident, which he later uploaded to Facebook.

Officer Lauren Develle responded to the call, and Graves says she wanted to come to the house to assure TyLon that his Christmas would be safe.

"He definitely believes that [the Grinch was trying to steal Christmas]. He was so serious," Graves adds.

In the video clip, Officer Develle asked TyLon what he would do if he came across the Grinch, and TyLon said he would "take him to jail."

The Byram Police department then played along even more by setting up a mock arrest with "The Grinch" on Monday night.

"Christmas is Safe!!!" Graves wrote on Facebook. "Someone was camera shy but I'm sure his childhood has been made!"

Officer Develle and Byram Police Chief Luke Thompson greeted TyLon, gave him a tour of the police station and took him to see the Grinch, who was locked up.

Graves says although his brother was hesitant to free the Grinch at first, TyLon ultimately decided to let him go.

"He says that the Grinch told him that he was sorry and that he won't steal Christmas anymore, so he forgives him," Graves says.

The police department ended the experience by gifting TyLon a goodie bag, which featured his own copy of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. However, Graves says he doesn't think his younger brother will be watching it anytime soon.

"If he sees the Grinch stealing Christmas again, I don't want him to say, 'He told me he wasn't going to steal Christmas anymore!" Graves says with a laugh.
