Body language expert calls out "tension" between Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner in photos from Argentina's G20 Summit

Over the past week, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have been out and about in the political spotlight. The past few days have seen the couple all over: first to Argentina for the annual G20 Summit, then to Mexico for the inauguration of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and back to Washington D.C for the funeral of former President George H.W. Bush.

Their travel, especially their visit to Argentina, has been under intense scrutiny by the public. "Why on Earth are Ivanka and Jared at the G20 Summit, getting a free vacation in Argentina on the taxpayer's dime?" wrote one commenter. Said another, "Why is Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner standing next to president of Argentina & his wife? No other president put his children in an official picture. Truly embarrassing."

But it wasn't just Trump and Kushner's unexpected trip that left Twitter up in arms. Some have also noticed the brewing tension between the couple -- and how their poses are starting to mimic President Trump and Melania's.

Express UK spoke to body language expert Patti Wood, who analyzed new photos of the couple and noticed some red flags between the two. In assessing a photo of Ivanka, she said: “You see the tension all throughout, all the way to her face, where you see a tight smile.

“Her hold around him is very formal and doll-like, rather than relaxed or super-affectionate,” Wood continued to the publication, before comparing Trump and Kushner's poses to the president's and first lady's.

“If you go all the way up her body, you’ll see her knees are together and her arms is straight down at her side, not relaxed at all,” she said. "They’re not finding comfort in each other."
