Bob Saget will live on in the hearts of many — including his wife, Kelly Rizzo.

On January 9, news broke that the Full House actor and America’s Funniest Home Videos host had died at the age of 65. TMZ was the first to report that Bob had been found unresponsive in a room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and his cause of death is still unknown.

Days before, on December 29, Kelly posted an Instagram reel recapping her 2021 highlights with Bob. To welcome the new year, Kelly shared a compilation of clips showing how the two enjoyed their time together. “Another year of fun with this one…sorry December got a bit lazy 🤷🏼♀️ @bobsaget,” she wrote.

Reacting to the video, Bob wrote back a witty response: “I was there all year!! 💗.” After his death was announced over the weekend, many fans rewatched Kelly’s video and took it as an opportunity to leave heartfelt words for her in the comments section. “I can’t believe he’s gone. I’m so sorry 😢,” one person wrote. “Sending you love. I’m so sorry for your loss. ❤️🙏,” another added. “❤️ I’m glad you have this to remember him,” a different fan said.

Bob and Kelly first met in 2015 through mutual friends. Shortly after, the comedian asked her out via a direct message on social media. Two years later the couple got engaged, and in October 2018, they were officially married. Bob is also survived by his three daughters from his previous marriage to Sherri Kramer — Aubrey Saget, Lara Melanie Saget and Jennifer Belle Saget.

“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the family said in a statement, per People. "Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world."

At the time of his death, Bob was traveling to perform standup comedy shows as part of his "I Don’t Do Negative" tour, which kicked off in September. In his last Instagram post hours before his death, Bob shared his gratitude with fans who came out to see him in Jacksonville and Orlando.

“I’m back in comedy like I was when I was 26,” he wrote in part, alongside a selfie on stage. “I guess I’m finding my new voice and loving every moment of it.”
