Blue Ivy Carter, 6, Has a Personal Shopper AND a Stylist
As if there was any doubt, it’s safe to say that Blue Ivy is the real MVP of the Carter family. Sure, mom Beyoncé is a fashion icon and music legend, but at the ripe old age of six, Blue is giving her a run for her money when it comes to style — because she already has a personal shopper and a stylist. Yes, really!
The famous first grader dons designer gowns on the regular, whether she’s wearing a $5,000 dress to a family wedding or rocking matching mommy-and-me Gucci dresses with Bey, but Women’s Wear Daily just revealed that her forays into fashion are even more fabulous than we thought, because she has her very own personal stylist and shopper.
Manuel A. Mendez has worked for Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé’s management company, since 2009, also serving as one of the “Formation” singer’s personal assistants. But the coolest part of his job, we’d imagine, is putting his magic touch on some of her most gorgeous red carpet looks, including what she wore to the Black Panther premiere and the $11,000 Mischka Aoki gown she wore to the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
Mendez may have a dream job, but it’s Blue Ivy that has a dream life. And there’s no word on if Mendez will also style Blue’s baby siblings Sir and Rumi once they get a bit older, but all we can say is, can Bey and Jay adopt us, please!?
