  • Season 11 of Blue Bloods is coming to a close on May 14.

  • The finale will be two hours long, and fans had a LOT to say about the trailer.

Blue Bloods fans are gearing up for the last episode of season 11. In preparation for the two-hour event, which is scheduled for Friday, May 14, CBS released a teaser for the finale, and it’s safe to say fans are freaking out.

In the clip, Danny (played by Donnie Wahlberg) is shown busting into a crime scene with his gun raised, only to find his nephew, Joe Hill (played by Will Hochman), standing alongside the perp. Shock spreads across Danny’s face before the promo flips between a montage of scenes. The general consensus is that Joe has been working undercover and his identity has been made. The clip closes with Joe on a payphone, saying “I love you, Grandpa,” before it cuts to Frank (played by Tom Selleck) sitting shell-shocked at One PP with his phone to his ear.

Given the amount of shock and dismay shown throughout the clip, fans immediately started weighing in on what it all means.

“Well, I hope he got more than three episodes and I was truly hoping his dad was still alive, just deep undercover,” one fan wrote.

“If he dies you know they're going to go CRAZY,” another fan chimed in.

"’I love you, grandpa…’" someone else wrote in quotes, followed by a crying emoji and heart.

Fans on Twitter also had some strong thoughts:

Needless to say, Blue Bloods fans are in for an exhilarating treat come Friday’s finale. Here’s hoping Joe makes it out alive.
