Longtime Blue Bloods viewers know that New Kids on the Block (AKA Donnie Wahlberg’s band) references have made their way into the show more than a few times. Where some instances have been rather discreet (like when a Dropkick Murphys song was the soundtrack for the final scene of the 250th episode), others have been more obvious (for example, when Danny Reagan (AKA Donnie) got on stage to sing karaoke—even though he didn’t choose a NKOTB song). The point is, over the past 12 years, Blue Bloods and NKOTB have become closely intertwined. And it’s because of this that Donnie was absolutely overjoyed by Bridget Moynahan’s set outfit.

“Not sure it gets more epic than @bridgetmoynahan wearing @nkotb t shirt to #family #sunday #dinner scene,” Donnie captioned a video of Bridget dancing in a black T-shirt with his band members on it.

While it would absolutely be epic if Bridget wore the shirt in an actual episode of Blue Bloods, it’s safe to assume that it was solely her outfit of choice for rehearsal, as up until this point, there have been zero blatant NKOTB callouts. But, then again, maybe that’s set to change in the upcoming April 1 episode. After all, the other Reagan family members (including Tom Selleck as Frank and Will Estes as Jamie) were shown wearing their regular garb.

Regardless of how it pans out, fans are just glad to see Bridget supporting Donnie.

“This girl is the best. She’s got great taste,” fellow Blue Bloods cast member Vanessa Ray (Eddie Janko) commented.

“Family scenes are my favorite, looks like you guys have even more fun making them,” one fan added. “I love the support from the cast,” another said.

This isn’t the first time a Blue Bloods actress has shown off their support for NKOTB, though. In a recent music video filmed to kick off the band’s upcoming Mixtape Tour, Vanessa and Marisa Ramirez (Maria Baez) dressed up in ‘80s outfits to put on a show with Donnie. And, if you haven’t seen it, we highly suggest you take a beat to give it a watch.
