Blogger Bride Hilary Rose Shares 6 Registry Picks for The Couple Who Can't Cook

Style Me Pretty Blogger Bride Hilary Rose is a recently engaged, Southern born and raised lifestyle blogger here to share her favorite wedding registry picks for couples who want to cook!
It’s no secret that I’m no master chef in the kitchen. If you follow my blog, you won’t find any cooking tutorials, and watch my Instagram stories, you’ll see that I have about 5 go-to recipes in my back pocket; chicken nuggets, kale salad, spaghetti, baked chicken, and smoothies. Brent isn’t much better either! His cooking consists of buying some hunk of meat and a bag of steamed veggies. And when we’ve grown tired of those, or feel like treating ourselves to something different, we go check out a new restaurant in Charleston or revisit our old favorites (Brent is a creature of habit and loves being a “regular” at his favorite spots).

It’s not that I don’t like cooking, though, I actually do! There’s something so fun to me about spending a night in creating a meal that is exactly what you want, but I’ve never been good at it, so I didn’t know what supplies were the best for me to invest in. I just avoided it all together! However, Brent and I are engaged now, so we will be gratefully receiving wedding gifts from our amazing friends and family, and you can bet that cookware was at the top of our list to finally get us in the kitchen! When we have all the right supplies to make our favorite meals, I just know that we will be cooking at home way more and getting more adventurous when it comes to trying new recipes. That’s where Cuisinart comes in!
A meal that we LOVE but have never considered making for ourselves is fajitas. I’m a Texas girl so I could eat Mexican food every day, and lucky for me, Brent is also a sucker for it as well. Fajitas aren’t that easy to make without the right appliances, but I also didn’t want to limit myself to gadgets that are only good for a specific type of meal. Here are my 6 registry picks that I think are essential choices for the couple who can’t cook! Each pick is a staple that I believe will keep Brent and I, and anyone else who has shied away from cooking because they didn’t have the right appliances, in the kitchen without getting bored of the same old recipes.

#1 Cuisinart Professional Series 15 Piece Cutlery Block Set

Having a great set of knives is so essential. It’s just one of those staples that you will need for just about everything, and if you start out with a great, high-quality set, you will use it forever. We used these knives to chop the cilantro and the peppers, and it made cutting up the chicken so much easier.

#2 Cuisinart Airfryer Toaster Oven

Why didn’t I buy one of these years ago? Brent and I are huge foodies, and there are so many dishes that we love that we could have been making from home with this awesome airfryer toaster oven. It can make anything from fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, and wings, but it prepares them in a much healthier way. We used the airfryer to toast up the corn on the cob, but we love how versatile it is since it can toast, bake, broil, you name it. I see us getting a ton of use out of this.

#3 Cuisinart Griddler Five

Of course, we couldn’t make fajitias without a good griddler. This one is has great user-friendly controls and SO easy to clean! I’ve had a small grill in the past that was such a pain to clean I never used it, but the reversible plates on this one are removable so you can throw them in the dishwasher.

#4 Cuisinart Hammered Collection Copper Try-Ply Stainless 9 Piece Set

Until now, I had a hodge-podge collection of random pots and pans that I had accumulated since college, so I’m so excited to have a beautiful full and matching set! The hammered copper design is so pretty, plus they are amazing quality. They have Heat Surround™ technology that allows even heat distribution along the bottom and the sides of the cookware, and they are oven, broiler, and freezer safe.

#5 Cuisinart Dual Zone Wine Cellar

Brent and I have become quite the wine-o’s since we started dating, we like to have a glass with most meals at home, but we both like completely different types of wine. I’m into Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon, and Brent likes Riesling and light red blends. This Dual-Zone Wine Cellar is amazing for us because we can each have our own side that had the temperature set perfectly for our own wine.

#6 Cuisinart Coffee Center™ 12 Cup Coffeemaker and Single-Serve Brewer

I’m definitely the coffee drinker in the relationship, and being a blogger, I have a different schedule every day. I love having the option to brew an entire pot for a morning working from home or a single-serve cup when I have an early meeting or shoot.

I’m so happy with these 6 Cuisinart picks for our wedding registry! We had a blast cooking up these fajitas and I can’t wait to try so many new recipes as we use these cookware and appliance staples for many, many years to come.
