It's been months since new episodes of Bling Empire graced audiences with a glittering peek into the lives of Los Angeles' upper echelon. But the wait is finally over—more drama is on its way with Bling Empire: New York, which drops on Netflix on Jan. 20. I have a feeling it won't disappoint. With a bunch of new faces, this show is certain to bring all the tea and, well, bling, that it promised. Remember Dorothy Wang? Well, she's back and ready to take on a brand new city.

Even though she's changing time zones, it looks like Dorothy is going to be in on some of the drama this season, and everyone already knows she has zero issues calling things like she sees it. OK, but who is she, exactly, and why does she look *so* familiar? Here’s everything you need to know about the newest member of Bling Empire: New York.

Who is Dorothy Wang?

Dorothy was born in Beverly Hills and attended all the most fabulous California schools, including the University of Southern California, per Celebrity Net Worth. This comes as no surprise as Dorothy has been a self-described #RichKid for quite a while now. More on that later.

Dorothy has her real estate license and actually worked at The Agency with Kyle Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky, per Ask Men. Looks like she may no longer work there, though, because she doesn't show up on the list of agents. And she no longer lives in LA.

I'd be remiss to leave out Dorothy's entrepreneurial ventures (which are MANY). For starters, there’s her website, DorothyWang.com, where she offers up travel tips on what to see and where to stay in a slew of major cities. She also used to sell jewelry (namely, hashtag necklaces) but it seems like hasn't been a thing since 2016, when she last made an Insta post about it. Same thing goes for her sparkling wine line, Rich and Bubbly—which she last posted about in 2017.

This is her third time on a reality show.

Yep. Dorothy was on three shows before— Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, Famously Single, and the O.G. Bling Empire.

E! News declared Dorothy the "de facto Queen Bee of the #RichKids of Beverly Hills squad" and touted her "impressive Birkin collection."

Dorothy’s parents are Vivine and Roger Wang.

To be a rich kid, you've got to have rich parents. And Dorothy certainly checks that box.

Her father, Roger, 73, is a self-made billionaire who moved from Taiwan to the U.S. and built condos around Los Angeles, per Forbes. He’s also the founder and chairman of Golden Eagle International, which is a real estate firm that builds malls and office buildings in China.

Roger is currently worth $3.5 billion, according to Forbes, so I'd say he’s doing OK for himself! He made the Forbes billionaire list in 2022 as the 835th wealthiest person in the world.

What has Dorothy been up to since her last stint in reality TV?

Dorothy stayed on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills for all four seasons of the show, which aired from 2014 to 2016. She told the South China Morning Post that she got to relax a little after the show was done. “Before, between filming scenes, I had to fit my regular life in—doctors' appointments, getting my nails done, going to a birthday party,” she says. “For four years, I held my breath and just ran. Now, I feel like I'm really liking life.”

She also launched all of her businesses after the show wrapped and built up a rep on Instagram, where—she has 1 million followers, and posts a lot about life in New York City and her travels.

What is her net worth?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Dorothy is worth about $10 million.

And what's going on with Bling Empire co-star Kane Lim?

Dorothy and co-star Kane, who fans met in season 1, have made it pretty clear that they’re not BFFs. “People like Dorothy, all they do is gossip and create drama,” Kane said on the show. And it seems like Dorothy doesn't have that much interest in getting cozy with him either: “Kane has been trying to get lunch since 2011, and I’d rather fast for 87 days straight,” she said.

Kane says he's known Dorothy for several years, but claims she stopped talking to him after she became famous. Dorothy, though, called Kane “obnoxious and annoying." The two did sit down to eat together, but it didn’t go well, and Kane said that things could pretty much remain as they were. Which means, "let's not be friends."

Where does Dorothy live now?

Dorothy traded that L.A. sunshine for New York City skyscrapers last year, moving into a new apartment and hitting up sceney spots like Saint Ambroeus for teatime snacks. She's totally ready to live her best live in the greatest city in the world.

I personally can't wait to watch Dorothy's luxe life from afar on Bling Empire: New York.
