Blake Shelton Fans Are Extremely Upset With the CMA Awards Over Latest Announcement

·1 min read

The CMA Awards announced the nominees for the 56th annual event, and some country music fans are up in arms over one major omission.

When the CMA Awards air on November 9 with hosts Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning, one thing is for sure: Blake Shelton will not be coming home with any awards. As fans were quick to point out, the 46-year-old singer did not receive any nominations this year.

CMA shared the list of nominees with their followers on Instagram and received lots of excited comments. Entertainer of the year nominees Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Morgan Wallen, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Stapleton received messages of support. But Blake's fans were very vocal about their displeasure and flooded the comments section:

  • "Didn’t see Blake Shelton again!"

  • "So many great singers SNUBBED again! 🤦🏼♂️🙄🙄"

  • "Yea well I don’t see @blakeshelton on this list. Do you always feel it necessary to leave him out????"

  • "No @blakeshelton. Again. 😡"

  • "Not watching..Blake Shelton is never in any of these & better then half of these people! Lame!"

  • "Hey where’s Blake? Don’t see him accept on “The Voice”, anymore"

  • "Not watching. Same ones nominated and win all the time. Just proves cm award shows are boring and irrelevant."

We have a feeling Blake will be just fine. In addition to returning to the coaching chair on season 22 of The Voice on September 19, the superstar just announced a new Back to the Honky Tonk tour for 2023 where he'll be joined by Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean.
