Blake Lively says there’s too much pressure on women who have just given birth to get back into shape.

In an interview with Sunrise in Australia, the 28-year-old star, who has a 2-year-old daughter, James, with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and is currently expecting baby No. 2, talked about her role in the movie The Shallows, where she plays a surfer who is attacked by a great white shark.

“This movie was a physical challenge as much as it was an acting challenge,” Blake says. “I had to do a lot of endurance training. This was eight months after I had had a baby.”

When complimented by the interviewer on her post-baby body bounce-back, she retorted, “It’s so unfair, it’s so celebrated.

“I think a woman’s body after having a baby is pretty amazing,” she continued. “You don’t have to have be Victoria’s Secret-ready right away. You’ve just done this incredible miracle that life has to offer.

“You gave birth to a human being. I would really like to see that celebrated.”
