Blake Lively has revealed her growing baby bump following the news she and husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their fourth child.

The actor, 35, shared a pair of side-by-side images – one seemingly before her pregnancy and another more recent shot highlighting her growing stomach – and joked that her workout regime didn't seem to be working.

In both images the soon to be mum-of-four was wearing a crop top, but in the first she was wearing leggings, while the second she was wearing jogging bottoms, which drew attention to her bump.

"Been doing @donsaladino's workout program for months now," she wrote in the accompanying caption. "Something isn’t working."

Her trainer Saldino, who also appeared in the images alongside Lively, responded to the post with a series of laughing emojis, while others teasingly blamed husband Reynolds for her growing stomach.

"I think it's your partner's fault. Lol," one user joked.

"Blame Ryan. It’s always his fault!" another commented.

"You’ve been working out with ur husband girl that’s causing all that gain," yet another user wrote.

Other fans noted that Reynolds, who is famous for teasing his wife on social media, would be sure to respond to Lively's post.

"*** patiently waiting for Ryan's comment***," one user commented.

"Me : waiting Ryan's comment," another wrote.

"Naa it's just that Ryan Reynold's programme is working quite efficiently," another added.

Lively announced she was pregnant with her fourth child back in September while attending the Forbes Power Women’s Summit, where she debuted her growing stomach.

On the red carpet of the Lincoln Centre, Lively displayed a baby bump, which she cradled in a few of the pictures with her right hand, indicating that she and husband Ryan Reynolds, 45, were expecting their fourth child together.

Lively wore a sheer, gold sequin-encrusted mini dress, which she paired with a pale gold ribbon headband, hoops and cream platform heels.

During her appearance, Lively referenced her and Reynolds’ growing family when she said: “I just like to create. Whether that’s baking or storytelling or businesses or humans, I just really like creating,” according to E! News.

Lively and Reynolds, who married in 2012, already have three daughters: James, seven; Inez, five and Betty, two.

The red carpet pregnancy reveal comes after the couple chose to share the news of their third pregnancy in a similar style in 2019, when Lively debuted her pregnant stomach at the premiere of Reynolds’ film Detective Pikachu.

Lively has previously revealed that she’s always wanted a big family.

“Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could,” the actor told Allure.

The couple try to maintain a relatively low-key lifestyle and claim they want to keep their kids out of the spotlight as much as possible.

“We want our kids to have the same normal life that we had," Lively told Marie Claire in 2016. "We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had because then we’d feel really selfish.”

The news that the couple is expanding their family comes after the Deadpool star revealed that wanting to spend more time with his children played a role in the decision to take a “sabbatical” from acting.

In an interview with LinkedIn, Reynolds revealed that while he's got a lot going on with his creative agency, Maximum Effort and his software platform MNTN, his break ultimately boils down to wanting to spend more time with his wife and children.

"The biggest thing for me is that I don't want to miss this time with my kids," he said.

"They go to school during the day, I get to work on MNTN and Maximum Effort," he said, before explaining that things are different when he's shooting a film as the hours are much longer.

"When I'm shooting a film, often I'm in Europe, I'm away, they're incredibly long hours," he explains.

"It's a constant requirement to be there the whole time — not just because I'm performing but I'm also generally producing and writing on my movies as well."

Now that some of his children are in school, Reynolds said they have more of a "normal schedule", which he wants to maintain – and which influenced his decision to have a hiatus.

"I think it's totally important for their development, and I really enjoy being a present dad," he added

"I love taking them to school in the morning, I love picking them up. I love that I have the hours in between to focus on the things that I'm really passionate about," Reynolds said happily, then admitting, "It is a juggling act."
