After breaking the news with a red-carpet reveal, Blake Lively has officially confirmed she's pregnant with her fourth child.
On September 15, the Gossip Girl star shared a series of photos from her pregnancy in an attempt to stave off invasive paparazzi. “Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a 🦄 sighting will leave me alone. You freak me and my kids out,” Lively captioned the photos. “Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect and for continuing to unfollow accounts and publications who share photos of children. You have all the power against them. And thank you to the media who have a ‘No Kids Policy.’ You all make all the difference 🙏♥️. Much love! Xxb”
The slideshow features photos from various stages in Lively's pregnancy, leading with a sweet image of the actor getting ready to apply sunscreen in a red cutout one-piece bathing suit. This particular desaturated filter is a favorite of Lively's famous friend Taylor Swift. Sure enough, the singer appears in slide seven hugging a pink-bikini-clad Lively. Obviously, she was there scouting baby names to plug into her next album, duh. (Keep a close eye on those Midnights lyrics…. That's all I'm saying.)
In July 2021, Blake Lively posted a plea to the media and her fans to refrain from sharing photos of her children after a particularly frightening interaction with a paparazzo in New York City.
In a comment left on a photo from the same day shared by @DailyMailAu, the actor recounted the real story. “You edit together these images together to look like I’m happily waving. But that is deceitful,” Blake wrote. “The real story is: My children were being stalked by a man all day. Jumping out. And then hiding. A stranger on the street got into words with them because it was so upsetting for her to see. When I tried to calmly approach the photographer you hired to take these pictures in order to speak to him, he would run away. And jump out again at the next block.”
Here's hoping the rest of Lively's pregnancy is healthy, joyful, and paparazzi-free.
