Blake Lively Launched A Line "Fizzy" Mixers That Are Perfect For Stirring Into Cocktails

OK, so Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are definitely trying to take over the cocktail space. Obviously, you know that Mr. Deadpool himself is all over the gin industry, kicking butt and taking names. But how has his lovely wife entered the picture? Well, she just launched a line of fizzy mixers, meaning you have something to dilute your Aviation Gin with without leaving the family.
The brand is called Betty Buzz, quite the fitting name for fizzy beverages. The sparkling mixers have no alcohol, are low calorie, made with real juice and natural flavors, and are free from artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. They are also non-GMO, kosher, and gluten-free.
Despite her connection to her gin-loving husband, Blake doesn’t drink. “I know that's odd coming from the wife of an infamous gin-slinger. Over the past many years of mixing but not drinking cocktails, it became clear mixers are the unsung heroes of the drink world and deserve just as much love as alcohol," she said in a statement. So Blake spent the last three years developing the brand with five flavors—tonic water, sparkling grapefruit, Meyer lemon club soda, sparkling lemon lime, and ginger beer.
The name Betty Buzz also means a lot to Blake:
My dad's name was Ernest Brown Jr but he was known as Ernie Lively. He gave up his last name when he married my mom and any success he, or I, have experienced has been in a name that isn't his," Blake said. "So when I was working hard to build this company, I wanted any success to be in a name that was meaningful to him. Betty was his mom and his sister's name. Also, Ernie would not be the best name for a mixer.
