At this point, I think it's safe to say that cutout dresses are THE biggest spring/summer fashion trend to know. Celebrities have been embracing negative space looks en masse over the last few months we are SO here for it. From daring cutout designs sported by Kendall Jenner and Julia Fox, to Millie Bobby Brown and Selena Gomez's more pared-back iterations, A-listers are putting their own spin on the fab detail. Now, Blake Lively's just entered the chat and the result is every bit as amazing as you'd expect.
This weekend, Blake stepped out in New York for the 2022 Gem Awards wearing a little black dress with long sleeves and a hemline finishing just below the knee. Notably, though, it's the plunging neckline and missing stomach panel that takes this number to a whole other level. Blake's dress, made from a shimmery leather-look fabric, features padded shoulders that perfectly offset the low neck and inverted triangle cut-out across the waist.
Blake finished her look with a mesh print brown and black Chanel bag and a pair of crystal-embellished Christian Louboutin pumps including sparkly cross-cross detailing over the toe.
As for jewellery, the star wore stacked gold rings and a pair of artsy drop earrings, accentuated by her slicked-back hairstyle.
