The New Black Jeans Style Rebels Can't Stop Wearing

Black jeans are the rebellious brother of blue jeans, always have been, always will be. Maybe it's their association with badasses and outsiders (punk rockers, bikers, downtown artsy types), but the dark denim has a rebellious streak that all-American indigo can't touch. Which is not to say that black jeans aren't as multi-use as blue ones. You can still pair them with a tailored jacket when you need to. You can still wear them on casual Friday and a first Tinder date. You can still wear them every damn day if you please (and your workplace allows it). But there's a new strain of black jeans taking over the closets of some of the most stylish guys we know.

In the same way that distressed jeans have long been a staple of men's style, faded black jeans are joining the fray. They still channel the feeling of jet-black jeans—they're just not quite as aggressive.
