These Binghamton-area restaurants are open for takeout, dine-in on Christmas Eve

If you're planning to eat at a restaurant or pick up takeout on Christmas Eve, it's time to review the options and consider making your holiday reservations. Many restaurants will close both days — and those that remain open will do a brisk business.

Restaurant holiday hours may vary more than years' past as businesses across the country deal with numerous challenges from labor shortages to supply chain issues, which has led some chains to reclose dining rooms and cut hours, according to research from InMarket, a consumer intelligence company.

In alphabetical order, here are some choices for brunch, snacks and complete meals on Dec. 24, 2021:

Applebee's Grill & Bar

Locations in Binghamton and Vestal will be open until 8 p.m.

The Beef

Open until 6 p.m., but dinners will not be served. 62 Leroy St. in Binghamton.

Beer Tree Brew Co.

Beer Tree's Factory location on Reynolds Road in Johnson City will be open until 10 p.m., kitchen closes at 9 p.m. The Port Crane location on Route 369 will also be open until 10 p.m.

Broadway Diner

Open until 3 p.m. 3140 Watson Blvd., Endwell.

California Grill

Open until 4 p.m. 912 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal.

Chili's Grill & Bar

Open until 4 p.m. 2553 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal.
