Bindi Irwin and boyfriend Chandler Powell are engaged! The life milestone overlapped with Irwin’s 21st birthday with the conservationist taking to Twitter to announce her engagement.

“On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life,” Irwin, 21, wrote alongside photos from the proposal. “Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you & every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure & true happiness.”

She concluded, “Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose & unconditional love.”

Irwin’s ring features a large, oval-shape diamond set on a rose gold, pave diamond band. At closer look at the design of the band, Irwin’s ring features a vine-like detail, which likely pays tribute to her love of nature. Irwin, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, has devoted her career and life to conservation.

“My heart is overflowing with gratitude, your kind comments mean the world to us,” Irwin added on Instagram under her post. “For those wondering about my ring, I’m so happy to share. My ring features a lab grown diamond and is made with rose gold recycled metal. Chandler was incredibly thoughtful when he chose it, the ring captures the essence of who I am (with its vintage flare) and our life together, with the twisted band and scattered diamonds.”

Brilliant Earth estimates the ring is at least two carats and valued between $25,000 to $50,000.

The future bride and Powell have been together for six years. “I’ve met my soulmate and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Chandler,” Irwin expressed to People. “We’ve been together for nearly 6 years now and he’s my happily ever after.”
