For *years* I've been wondering how on earth these celebrities wear gloves with two-inch long shards of acrylic attached to their fingertips. Do they take off their nails beforehand? Or do they just buy extra long gloves? It's a question that's been living in my mind rent-free for months. (No, seriously.)

Billie Eilish, who is resolutely Team Claw, makes me revisit this conundrum on a regular basis. That girl loves wearing statement gloves almost as much as she loves impractical nails–two things that do not pair well together.

On her latest magazine cover for Vanity Fair, the singer has given me the answers I crave. Dripping in groovy, rust-colored paisley, the singer donned her signature coffin nails and her signature statement gloves. The hack: they were fingerless.

Per usual, Billie was dressed in Gucci, Gucci, Gucci and judging by the fact that the fashion house doesn't normally sell fingerless gloves, it seems that this look was a custom job just for her. It's not surprising, as Billie is famously dedicated to the long nail lifestyle–so much so, that she has already offered a blood sacrifice to the nail art gods.

Say what you will about Billie, but when she serves a look, she commits.
