What is the ‘Billie Eilish, big T-shirt’ TikTok trend, and what song is used for it?

A hip-hop song that references Billie Eilish has sparked a big T-shirt trend.

The latest song by the Philadelphia rapper Armani White, aptly titled Billie Eilish, peaked at No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 last September. The “Bad Guy” singer is known for her loose-fitting, baggy style, and Armani White pays homage to it in the track.

“I’m stylish, Glock tucked, big T-shirt, Billie Eilish,” he raps.

The lyrics inspired a transition trend that is a bit more elaborate than some older ones. A person usually appears in front of their bed wearing a baggy T-shirt and pants — think more lounge clothes than the luxury streetwear Eilish wears.

Then, they take the shirt off and maneuver into a frontward roll. After they land and completely remove the shirt, the transition hits to reveal a complete makeover.

Makeup guru James Charles demonstrated the trend, saying, “well that’s one way to do the transition hahahaha.” Trying to pull off the flip can get a bit chaotic.

TikToker @tabithaswatosh had better luck as she changed into a swimsuit.

Meanwhile, @in_the_nic_of_time used the transition to change into his dapper-looking father.

Unfortunately, not every attempt can be a success story. Influencer @annaxsitar wrote, “listen I really wanna do this trend…but heres how its going.” Yep, she flipped on her bed and crashed into the camera.
