Billie Eilish Asks Little Kids Where They Go When They Fall Asleep

“You could pretty much go anywhere, like…the dinosaur times.”

In her music, Billie Eilish often plays with the ideas of dreams — or nightmares, to be more specific. But TBQH there's a lot of ~mysteries~ about dreams, which is why Billie's debut studio album is literally called, When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? And finally, almost eight months since its release, Billie is getting some answers to that very question, all thanks to a group of kids.

On Thursday, Billie appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk with four children about where they think they go when they fall asleep. "You could pretty much go anywhere," said one kid. "Like the desert, like India, like the West Times, or the mummy times, or the dinosaur times."

Honestly, who's to say he's wrong?! Also, teleport me to "the dinosaur times" ASAP. But the fun didn't stop there. Another kid recalled zombies attacking her in her dream, but thankfully they didn't get to her because she fought them off. "I kicked their butts," she told Billie proudly.

Yet another child explained that he likes to fall asleep by reading a scary story. Which is his favorite? None other than Pennywise the Clown.

"I've seen him before," the boy tells Billie, "in real life. And I brought him here...He's on top of your head. He's sitting on your head and eating candy, and he's eating a cat, and he's eating a dog, and a duck, and a fox, and a person. And he's drinking a grandmother, and he's drinking a polar bear."

Ok...now I'm going to have nightmares. Someone hire this kid to become a writer for American Horror Story! The entire four minute sketch is super cute — and somewhat disturbing. But at least Billie finally got the answers to her question!

Billie stuck around on the show to talk to Jimmy about her six Grammy nominations as well, saying, "I've watched that every single year of my entire life, like judging all the girls' ugly-a** dresses...so the fact that I'm the same little girl watching that in my living room, and then I'm still in that same living room being nominated for six, like, what is that?"

Her nominations make Billie the youngest person ever to be nominated in all top four Grammy categories. The Gen Z icon we deserve!
