‘Big Bang Theory’ Season Finale: Who’s on the Guest List for Sheldon and Amy’s Wedding?
Sheldon and Amy have quite an eclectic group of family and friends, to say the least, but their wedding guest list just got more star power! On Monday, CBS announced that Mark Hamill will be making a special appearance on the May 10th season finale of The Big Bang Theory, sending Star Wars fans into a frenzy.
The Star Wars actor will be following in the footsteps of other Jedi guests such as James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher, who have also made appearances on the nerdy-funny TV sitcom. Though it’s anyone’s guess who Hamill will portray on the series, odds are he’ll be playing himself (as opposed to, say, reprising his role as Luke Skywalker for the wedding).
The season 11 finale will also feature a cast of familiar characters and A-list stars, including Laurie Metcalf as Sheldon’s mom Mary, Courtney Henggeler as his sister Missy, and even Jerry O’Connell, who, it was reported last month, may be joining the series as Sheldon’s older brother Georgie.
Kathy Bates is also set to appear on the finale, as is Wil Wheaton (as himself) and Brian Posehn as Bert Kibble. Teller, of Penn and Teller fame, will also attend the TV wedding (though it’s unclear whether he’ll be playing a new role or acting as himself), and newbie Lauren Lapkus, who will make her debut as Denise on the April 19th episode, will also return for the finale.
Sheldon and Amy’s wedding isn’t the first in Big Bang’s history: back in season 10, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki’s characters Penny and Leonard got hitched for a second time before family and friends after eloping in Las Vegas during the season 9 premiere back in September 2015.
