There’s no shortage of Beyoncé imagery online, but what happens when the wealth of Mrs. Carter photos leads to inspired fashion? The pop superstar’s “Bey-Search” collection, which launches today, takes a Google Image approach to music merch with a collage of memorable snapshots decorating each piece. Bucket hats, windbreakers, and bike shorts get the Beyoncé treatment with a picture grid that incorporates everything from album covers to Instagram updates. Beychella, old school “Dangerously In Love”-era polaroids, and all manner of behind-the-scenes content make their way onto the designs.

The superfans of the Bey-hive will no doubt appreciate looking back on those memorable moments in the star's history, but there’s something to enjoy even for those who have yet to listen to Lemonade. The juxtaposition of images makes for an appealing print, and the overarching concept connects with much of what’s happening in fashion right now. Designers such as Raf Simons, JW Anderson, and Yohji Yamamoto have all experimented with collage of late, incorporating archival imagery into their menswear collections. Beyoncé takes a different tack, playing with the idea of wearable selfies while giving her audience an artsy way to wear their fandom on their sleeves.
