Beyoncé and Jay-Z Leave the Kids at Home for Luxurious Yacht Day

Quality mother-daughter time is important, and quality mother-daughter time on a luxury yacht is even better.

That’s exactly what Beyoncé and her mom Tina Knowles got when they spent the day lounging aboard a private yacht off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s stepdad, Richard Lawson also joined in on the fun.

The power couple was dressed to impress as they climbed aboard the Golden Touch yacht and sailed off for a day of relaxation in the Sunshine State. Beyoncé looked stunning as usual in a rust-colored two piece set that hugged her hips and fell down to midi-length with a sexy slit and a pair of sky-high heels, and Jay-Z exuded cool in a patterned Dior shirt with track-pants and white sneakers, in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

For her part, Beyoncé’s mom, Tina, rocked a black cold-shoulder top and a glamorous wide-brimmed hat for the day.

It’s not all that surprising the kids — Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir — didn’t join the yachting fun: it was Beyoncé herself that told Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the London premiere of "The Lion King" that “they don't come on every trip.” And Jay-Z followed that up with some parenting advice to Harry: "The best advice I can give you, always find time for yourself."

Beyoncé and Jay-Z were in town for the rapper’s Shawn Carter Foundation Gala, according to People. The fundraising event benefited the foundation’s scholarship fund, college prep workshops, goodwill and study abroad programs.

Before the event, the couple made the most of the weekend, heading to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for a special date night in style, the outlet reported.

And while this weekend was a kids-free one, the power couple are no strangers to taking the little ones on jaunts around the world. Last year, the family of five vacationed in Cannes, France, taking full advantage of the pristine blue waters.
