Betty White Will Star In a Lifetime Christmas Movie

Need something to look forward to? Betty White has you covered with a new Lifetime special.

The Golden Girls star is set to play a "sassy drill sergeant" for an untitled holiday movie for the network’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime slate, Deadline reports. According to the outlet, her character will be leading up a "Christmas bootcamp" — no word yet on what that means, or if said "bootcamp" is actually the North Pole.

That said, Lifetime's Christmas lineup this year is pretty stacked. Jamie Lee Curtis will also star in, direct and executive produce a movie for the network about the true story of a devout Christian mother who came to terms with her son being gay, while Kelly Rowland will star in and executive produce a sequel to Lifetime's Merry Liddle Christmas called Merry Liddle Christmas Wedding.

Not to mention, Lifetime is putting out another movie based on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, with a working title of Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace. Of course, the network is capitalizing on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's step down from royal duties, and the movie will focus on, presumably, their "escape" from the Palace.
