Betting: Will Rickie Fowler surprise this weekend at the Valero Texas Open?
Minty Bets is joined by Jay Busbee to give his top picks for the upcoming Valero Texas Open PGA TOUR event this week.

MINTY BETS: The Valero Texas Open takes place this weekend in San Antonio, Texas. Jay Busbee is joining me today to give us his best bets for the tournament. Jay, who do you like to win this tournament?
JAY BUSBEE: The fact that it's before the Masters gives us one of the most intriguing storylines, which is Rickie Fowler. Guy who's got 41 consecutive majors is in very real danger of missing the Masters field this year. What he asked to do this weekend? Win the Valero Texas Open.
Now as sentimental a story as that might be, he's an 80 to 1 odds right now. He's not exactly a favorite coming in. So that might just be more of a sad story than anything else.
The guys that you want to look at the top of the odds chart there-- you've got Jordan Spieth, Texas guy. He's had a run of top 10s. He still hasn't broken through to win since the British Open back in 2017. Right behind him, Tony Finau at 12 to 1. He had that run of three straight second-place finishes earlier this season.
Both these guys have become kind of famous for finishing second or in the bridesmaid spot there, if you will. We're going to have to see if one of them can break through. And I think it could be a good weekend for either one of them.
MINTY BETS: All right. And who are your long shots or your top finishes that you like?
JAY BUSBEE: There's a few here that you could look at. There's Corey Conners. He's the defending champion technically, even though it was from two years ago. Now, he's got two top-seven finishes in his last two stroke play events, which makes him kind of an attractive pick. He's at 20 to 1.
Another guy that I really like-- he's the right combination of strong recent form and strong form at this tournament-- is Andrew Putnam. He's got three top 10s in his last six events. And he had a T8 here at Valero in 2018. He right now is going off at 66 to 1.
And then finally, I've had a lot of luck lately with going with the old dude, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood. I'm looking at another one right now, Zach Johnson. He won this event twice back in the 2000s. He placed fifth as recently as two years ago. He's going off at 40 to 1. Not a terrible pick.
