MINTY BETS: It's time for this week's winners and losers. Let's start off with a winner Francis Ngannou. The predator knocked out the greatest heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic early in the second round in the main event with a powerful and very scary punch leaving Miocic wobbly and helping Ngannou betters cash in at minus 145 for the victory. Moving on to a loser. Throughout the past year, underdogs have been winning a lot in the UFC. But of course, on Saturday night favorites went 9-1. I fell into this category as I bet on several underdogs on Saturday night, and the one favored fighter I bet on was the one that lost.

Speaking of underdogs, only one of the top 16 ranked golfers in the world advanced out of group play this week in Austin, Texas. Billy Horschel won the event defeating Texas native Scottie Scheffler. Horschel was 80-1 to win, and it was his first title in nearly four years.

Let's wrap things up with a winner. The Pac-12 stayed hot in the Sweet 16 with Oregon State beating everyone's Cinderella the Loyola Chicago Ramblers. Sorry, Sister Jean, but Bill Walton was right. But it's not just about the Beavers. How about the teams in the City of Angels? UCLA survived an Alabama buzzer beater and still won in overtime, and USC continues to dominate everybody in their path. It's been a great week for the city of LA.
