'Dog the Bounty Hunter' star Duane Chapman announces Beth's Colorado memorial service details

Following Beth Chapman's Hawaii memorial service over the weekend, a second date to honor the late "Dog the Bounty Hunter" star has been announced.

Duane Chapman announced on Twitter Monday that the second memorial would take place on July 13 at the Heritage Christian Center in Aurora, Colorado, with doors opening at 1 p.m. and service beginning at 2.

"Love you all and thank you very much for the support you have been giving for Beth," Duane wrote late Sunday night, adding that the next memorial date will be an opportunity to "tuck (Beth) in, tell her goodnight, for she sleepeth."

Beth, who died Wednesday after being placed in a medically induced coma amid a battle with Stage 4 cancer, was honored Sunday with a memorial service on the beach in Honolulu.

Chapman did not specify if the Colorado memorial would be open to the public, as the Hawaii service was. USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for the Chapman family.

Hawaii memorial attendees were asked to bring "ocean-friendly loose flowers" rather than leis, because "the strings can be harmful to ocean life," family lawyer Andrew Brettler previously told USA TODAY. According to Hawaii News Now, family and friends paddled out into the water, another Hawaiian funeral tradition. Fans were encouraged to share photos and videos with the hashtag #AlohaOeMrsDog.

The Chapmans previously said they were also planning a memorial service in Colorado with Beth's family. Beth and Duane split time living in Colorado and Hawaii, but when Beth's health began to worsen, Duane said they made the decision to "bring her home" to Hawaii.
