Tucked into the hills of Tuscany and only 5 miles from the center of Florence, is a 13th century estate that has been transformed into the beautiful Villa La Massa. The hotel itself is divided up into five buildings and sits on 25-acres of gardens that have been made magnificently green due to their location on the banks of the Arno River. Each guest room has been expertly decorated in the typical Tuscan style to match their surroundings in the Chianti hills. Guests can rent accommodations ranging from deluxe rooms and suits to an entire farmhouse, complete with four suits, a kitchen, courtyard, and private garden. Perfect for a girl’s trip or family getaway! Expect views of the park, the Chianti hills, or the Arno River in whatever room you choose.

We have several rooms that are amazing! There is a Junior Suite, known as the Honeymoon Suite, which has a large glass-walled window overlooking the Arno river and the surrounding Chianti hills. Perfect for honeymooners or couples who want a romantic getaway.

The spectacular Presidential Suite is a bucolic haven of peace and serenity, surrounded by the olive and cypress trees of the estate’s 25-acre park, with its own 1500 square foot private garden, from which the view is rich with the colors of Tuscany. It is located in the "Villino", which has a total of five rooms, a perfect retreat for a family or large group, all on the banks of the Arno River. The Parco Suite is also located in the "Villino" and features a Suite Exclusive and a Double Room with stunning views on the Arno river and the Chianti hills.

There are the Suites Colonica which are located in the recently renovated Casa Colonica, an ancient farmhouse which dates back to the mid 1800s, these suites maintain the same decorative Renaissance style as the main building, featuring floor to ceiling windows and balconies, impressive walk-in wardrobes and exquisite baths. A charming internal courtyard completes Casa Colonica and the Suite and Junior Suite on the ground floor can be connected and share a lovely garden. The beautiful Santafiora stone bathrooms are complete with an impressive bathtub and separate shower. All bathrooms have natural light. Tell me about some of the miracles your concierge staff has pulled off for guests, newlyweds, and singles!

They frequently perform miracles, for example they once organized a private dinner under the gazebo in the Iris park with violinists and prepared in writing with thousands of rose petals: "Will you marry me?"

How would you describe the guests and the vibe at the hotel?

There is a magical atmosphere! You can truly understand it by staying with us. Even though Villa La Massa is a 5-star hotel, people enjoy the relaxing ambience and the professional yet friendly service.
