El Conquistador Resort, a Waldorf-Astoria Resort
Sure, the beach is great, but if you’ve got kids, you know they’re often partial to a pool-especially when it comes with a water park. For adults, this upscale hotel has tennis, a gym, horseback riding, and-crucial!-a swim-up bar. And outdoorsy types will adore the drive here, which follows a road that hugs the El Yunque national forest. Be sure to read the fine print, however: the all-inclusive drinks-and-eats offer is in addition to the per-night cost, so be prepared to take advantage of the massive three-course dinners (think: Chateaubriand for two).

Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort & Spa
If you're attached to the idea of staying near El Yunque, this new-in-2016 Wyndham gets you closest to the forest-and you won’t break the bank getting here. For $220 per night, the hotel offers all-inclusive drinks, food, and a complimentary round of golf. That's a pretty extraordinary rate given it also includes the tax, room, and resort service fees. Just plan on traveling before the winter holidays, as this deal expires on December 20, 2016.
Hotel Párador Guanica 1929
If you’re not much of a drinker, the Tropical Inns of Puerto Rico mini-chain might be right up your alley, with a number of family-friendly packages that include all meals. The Párador Guanica, tucked away in the southwest corner of the island, is charming as can be, with its early-20th-century façade, duo of swimming pools (one for kids, one for adults) and range of packages for families. You’re also close to Gilligan’s Island-really!-a sweet, tucked-away spot with a reef popular with snorkelers. After dark, take a tour to the nearby bioluminescent bay, La Bahia Fosforescente.
Wyndham Palmas del Mar
Maybe you’re more of a nighttime person than a daytime adventurer. If so, this Las Vegas-styled casino may be right up your alley. Replete with slot machines, free drinks, and a 2 a.m. closing time, it’s ideal for the night owl. While Wyndham's Palmas del Mar location is slightly more expensive and less modern than the Grand Rio Mar Resort, this is nonetheless one of the few all-inclusive experiences on the island. It's not going to burst your wallet, either.
