Linoleum

It can be scary to spend a lump sum of money all at once, but this shouldn't stop you from looking at all of your options. Rebecca Hay of Rebecca Hay Designs says that regular linoleum is a good choice if you're watching your bank account, but the type of flooring affords you far fewer options to choose from. Because your floors are a long-term commitment, Patrick Bewley of flooring design company Duchateau does not recommend making price-based compromises when it comes to this bathroom detail. "For me, the sweet spot is getting a floor that is exactly what you want from a visual and performance perspective," says Bewley.
Mixed Mediums
If you can't choose just one material, feel free to mix it up. Hay is a fan of brass inlay within a marble mosaic tile pattern, which she says is a newer flooring trend. Another option to consider for your flooring is chevron or herringbone-laid tiles, but using the same color as seen in the rest of your home's flooring as a way to increase the perception of size. An added bonus that comes with choose this design is that it helps to visually connect the spaces, replicating the look and feel of an open floor plan. "This designates the space where it is used as something special, while not sacrificing a unified look," says Bewley.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) is an option that is waterproof and impermeable, making it a great selection for little feet running through the house (both furry friends and kids). Bewley says that it can also create the illusion of hardwood floors, giving you both the natural look and texture you desire.
Porcelain and Marble
There's something to be said for clean and simple materials. Hay says that porcelain and marble are great options for bathroom flooring due to their ability to be refinished and resealed, making them an easier flooring option to fix. She also speaks highly of mosaic tiles, due to the anti-slip property of the grout.
