The Best Fashion Instagrams of the Week: Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski, and More

Forget coffee. Forget breakfast. Forget starting your day with anything else other than Rihanna. This past week, the Vogue November coverstar appeared on Instagram amid lush palm trees—maybe she was at home in her native Barbados?—and turned the whole setting into her personal runway. The Fenty designer strut barefoot in a high-cut bikini, a sheer black robe, and a cream clutch. For the full 360-effect, she even did a twirl for the camera.

Riri aside, there were other things happening in the Insta-verse. The rapper Tierra Whack headed down to Texas for the music festival Austin City Limits. She did her own rendition of the Canadian tuxedo, wearing a full denim look by the Los Angeles-based label 69. The superstar touch here? Whack sported a pair of jean socks. Talk about dedication to a theme.

Halfway around the world, Susie Lau brought some European style to Shanghai Fashion Week. In between shows, Lau took an elevator selfie that showed off a nubby sweater from the Budapest-based label Nanushka, a kaleidoscope pleated skirt from Bulgarian-English label Chopova Lowena, and a crisp bag from everyone’s favorite Italian brand Prada.

In New York, meanwhile, Emily Ratajkowski posted a sun-soaked selfie in yet another bodysuit—this time in white, from her own line Inamorata. She paired the number with her signature high-waisted jeans. Also in the States, specifically in Philadelphia, was Tracee Ellis Ross who headed to the B. PHL Innovation Fest, an event that celebrates the arts. There, she shared her thoughts on innovation and the future of fashion. Ross dressed the chic part, too: She looked radiant in a bubblegum pink 3.1 Phillip Lim jumpsuit with matching satin Manolo Blahnik boots. And while Rihanna was down in the tropics, Ross saluted her style by wearing a bold-shouldered gray Fenty trench.
