In-person shopping on Thanksgiving Day continues to look like less of a possibility this year. Best Buy is the latest retailer—joining Target, Walmart, and Dick’s Sporting Goods—to announce that its stores will be closed on the holiday, which falls on November 26.
“To meet our customers’ changing lives this holiday, we’re enhancing the way we fulfill orders, from offering more convenient pickup options at our stores to making sure BestBuy.com orders arrive at the right time,” the company shared in a blog post on its website. “We’re also going to start offering some of the hottest deals of the season earlier than ever, to make it even easier for our customers to check off their gift lists.”
Although you may not be able to snag that $600 TV at a discount on Turkey Day, you’ll have plenty of time before and after the holiday to do so. Instead of getting a jump start on holiday shopping or taking advantage of the deals for yourself, you can consider Thanksgiving as your one out-of-office, gift-list-free day to relax. All you need to focus on is eating food...and spending quality time with friends and family, of course!
If you really can’t resist shopping on Thanksgiving, you can always shop online and through the Best Buy app. That sounds a lot less stressful, right?
