If you've watched Ben and Erin Napier work their reno magic on Home Town, you know that Ben is an expert woodworker who can build just about anything. Now, he's partnering with Varsity Tours, a platform that connects students and experts for virtual instruction, to teach a free woodworking class for students of all ages. And since parental supervision is recommended, you and your kids can learn basic woodworking skills from a pro craftsman.

On Thursday, Ben took to social media to announce his upcoming class. In a video posted on Instagram, he reveals that he'll be teaching students how to build a birdhouse for the class. Giving a preview of the finished product, the video shows three birdhouses that Ben built hanging from the ceiling. The best part? The class is live and interactive, so you and your kids can ask Ben questions while he's teaching.

Of course, since the class is virtual, you'll need some tools and supplies to follow along, including a miter saw or miter box, a drill with a Forstner bit or speed bon, a 1x6 board, a dowel rod, and an eye-hook with a small chain or some string.

Ben's 45-minute woodworking class will take place on Monday, August 31, starting at 4 p.m. ET. Students of all ages are welcome to sign up, but the course description page says that the class is best for students in grades 6 through 12. Parents interested in signing up their kids can enroll here.
