Ben & Jerry's Releases Gingerbread and Cinnamon Bun Cookie Dough Chunks

Ben & Jerry's

The holiday season may still be a few months away, but that doesn't mean we can't start getting into the festive mood now. To help us embody that jolly spirit, Ben & Jerry's has added two new seasonal flavors to their frozen cookie dough chunks line, gingerbread and cinnamon bun.

The two new limited-edition releases bring the company's cookie dough chunks collection to seven flavors total. The delectable rundown? Chocolate chocolate chip, peanut butter chocolate chip, vegan chocolate chip, chocolate chip, and Half Baked, inspired by the ice cream company's beloved flavor, and the two seasonal newcomers. Call us crazy, but we're tempted to host a little taste-test session of all seven of these delightful flavors.

“We know our fans often dig around the ice cream to get to the chunks. We just made it a little easier by putting them in a bag," said Jody Eley, Ben & Jerry’s Innovation Manager in a company press release. Worth noting: The cookie dough is safe to eat because it’s made with pasteurized eggs (except for the vegan version, which, of course, is made without any eggs) and heat-treated flour.

When hunger strikes, try popping the chunks straight from the freezer as a sweet snack or adding them to your favorite ice cream for an extra indulgent treat. (Vanilla ice cream with cinnamon bun cookie dough chunks and cinnamon whipped cream? We think yes.)

You can buy Ben & Jerry's cookie dough chunks online here (the two new flavors are currently available for pre-order) or at supermarkets and participating Ben & Jerry's shops nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.99 to $5.49 a bag. For more information, visit Ben & Jerry’s website here.
