Ben Higgins And His Fiancée Just Bought A House Together

Ben Higgins joins Bachelor Matt James at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort to help with a group date during season 25.
The former Bachelor may have some good advice, considering he's currently engaged to fiancée Jessica Clarke after sliding into her DMs.
Jess is super athletic, co-owns two gyms in Nashville and Denver, and is going back to school to get her esthetician’s license.
Ben Higgins, 31, who found love on The Bachelor years ago is back to help out the current Bachelor Matt James. The season 25 star has some tough decisions at upcoming rose ceremonies, and Ben is there to offer some words of wisdom (or something like it). Ben has been engaged twice, with then-fiancé and final rose recipient Lauren Bushnell, 30, for a bit, before breaking up in 2017.
Now, Ben is engaged to and planning his wedding to longtime girlfriend Jessica Clarke, 25. But…who is Jessica, again? Here’s everything you need to know about Ben's fiancée and their relationship:
Ben and Jessica met when he slid into her DMs.
Ben is 100-percent not shy about previously creeping on his fiancée. When he made their relationship Instagram official back in February 2019, Ben shared this juicy little nugget: “I successfully slid into her Dm’s a few months ago. I took a risk and I am glad I did. She is someone special, and I look forward to where life is going to take us.”
According to an interview with blog Live Original, their romance started when Jess was working in Nashville, and Ben was staying in a hotel by Bridgestone Arena. Apparently, there was a hockey game that night, and Ben wanted to know what teams were playing. Instead of going to good ole Google, he looked it up on Instagram and saw a photo of Jess at the game with her dad (the location was tagged). Ben took a screenshot of the Instagram—not creeeeeepy at all—and then waited a few months. He messaged her on Thanksgiving, and Jessica was curious why a former reality TV star with a large social media following sent her a DM, so she responded. “We’ve talked every day since,” they told the publication.
Jessica is super athletic.
She ran track at the University of Mississippi, and, apparently, was a mega-athlete in high school. Her Ole Miss bio says Jessica set a cross country region course record in her senior year, and that she had the most state qualifications in school history. Go, Jess!
In fact, she is the co-owner of several gyms.
They’re called SweatNet, and she co-owns branches in Nashville and Denver, where Ben lives. (They’re currently offering free streaming classes, BTW.)
Jessica and Ben bought a house together in December.
The engaged couple shared the happy new home news on Instagram. "Jess and I now own a house together (staying in Denver)! We don’t own any furniture but we are hoping Mr. Claus and Mrs. Claus send some our way this Christmas! Until then, our and probably next many dinners in the new house will be on the floor, just the way it should be! Also, before you start blowing up the comments this will be Jess private VIP party pad until the wedding, then I move in to crash the place! Let the fun begin!"
It also means Jess is moving to Denver officially.
Maybe Jordan Rogers and JoJo Fletcher can give them some interior decorating tips to spruce up their empty space?
Jessica is a Christian, like Ben.
Her Instagram bio features the Bible passage 1 Thessalonians 5:16. (ICYDK, it says, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”) “Faith is foundational. Our relationship wouldn’t work or make sense without our faith being front and center,” the couple told the blog Live Original in November 2019. “It’s a grounding force for us.”
And, Jessica has shared photos on Instagram of her Bible engraved with "Mrs. Jessica Higgins" on the leather cover.
She’s continuing her education.
Jessica, who has gorgeous skin BTW, recently shared on Instagram that she’s going back to school to get her esthetician’s license. “I really want to be an expert in what I spend most of my time talking about,” she wrote in the caption. “I am excited to learn about ingredients, treatments, and how products can improve different skin types and tones! Then I’ll come back here and get to share my knowledge with all of you.”
Jessica’s totally supportive of Ben’s Bachelor past.
She recently posted the sweetest Instagram about the fact that her fiancé’s journey to love—and getting engaged to another woman—will be replayed on national TV on The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons—Ever!
“Cheering you on from afar tonight. I’m so proud of who you are and happy for all of the steps that led me to you! You make me smile so big it smushes my face,” she wrote alongside a sweet photo of the two of them.
And, she's a big fan of Matt James on The Bachelor.
