Belle Chevre: How to Make a Tomato Pie

Got a bumper crop of tomatoes right now? Unfortunately I don't but I do have great friends with amazing gardens and have been given the mother load. There is nothing better to me in the summer than a tomato picked fresh from the garden still warm from the heat of the day. My friend Scott Davis, handsome devil, whose mother plants a tremendous garden every year from heirloom seeds - from their own family as well as seeds that Scott finds all over the country and sends home to her - brought me a HUGE basket just last week.

If you find yourself as lucky as I or if you have a great market with gorgeous tomatoes you MUST make this tomato pie.
